Copy and pasting subscreens, content blocks and assets Follow
Get ready for a game-changer! Not only can you copy and paste individual screens, but now you can also seamlessly copy subscreens, entire content blocks, or even specific screen assets. Imagine the possibilities! You can paste these elements within the same screen, in a different topic within the same course, or even across entirely different courses. The power to create and customise your content has never been this flexible and exciting!
To use this feature and streamline your workflow, you simply highlight the element you want to copy and use the following shortcut keys:

Here are some examples:
Copy a subscreen
Open the topic in the editor
Highlight the screen you want to copy
Press CTRL + ‘c’ (Mac) or ALT + ‘c” (Windows)
Select the screen you want to paste the subscreen into
Press CTRL + ‘v’ (Mac) or ALT + ‘v” (Windows)
The subscreen is added to that screen
Copy a Content Block
Open the topic in the topic editor and click on the content block you want to copy to select it:
Press CTRL + ‘c’ (Mac) or ALT + ‘c” (Windows)
Select the screen where you want to paste the content block
Press CTRL + ‘v’ (Mac) or ALT + ‘v” (Windows)
The content block will be added to that screen
Copy an individual asset
Click on the asset you want to copy to select it
Press CTRL + ‘c’ (Mac) or ALT + ‘c” (Windows)
Select the screen and content block where you want to paste the copied asset:
Press CTRL + ‘v’ (Mac) or ALT + ‘v” (Windows)
The asset will be added to the content block
Additional Information
Please note that while we ignore the default language setting, we do match other translation layers as outlined in the scenario below:
Scenario
- Copy content from your ‘source’ multi language course: British English (default), French, Hindi
- Paste to your ‘target’ multi language course: Hungarian (default), French, German

The anticipated outcome: British English content can be copied to Hungarian (default), French content can be copied to French. Hindi content is not copied to German.
