Gomo Resource Usage Follow
Release Date: 03.05.2023
We’re super excited to release our Gomo resource usage feature. Not only can you add, remove, delete and replace multimedia in Gomo, you can now identify where the resource is being used!
This could be in a theme or a course, with the new feature showing where the resource is being used, all the way down to asset level. This means that you can manage all of your multimedia resources and storage at a glance.
You can find the feature by right clicking on your resource as shown below:
This will open the File usage model where you can see all of the resource properties and where it’s being used:
Once you select the file you’ll be deep linked to the screen where you can see it in use:
This provides you with the option to delete your resource from the screen/asset, or replace it with a new resource.
Now you have full control to add, remove, delete and replace your resources!
- When a file is used in the translated version of a course and then you use the deep link from the File Usage Modal, you are taken to the component using the file, but we don't indicate which language that file is used in.
- When a file is used in multiple translated versions of a course and you remove that file from one language, but leave it being used in other languages then the file usage counter will not update.
