Use of generative AI in Gomo Follow
At Gomo, we have introduced the ability to use generative AI to help perform various tasks to speed up authoring of content. We attempt to use AI services in a manner that deeply integrates with our tool without being a simple wrapper.
How do we provide these tools?
Currently, we use OpenAI to power our AI services. By default, we use OpenAI’s latest gpt-4-turbo-preview model. At a simple level, a model determines the generated content from a given input.
We anticipate adding support for other AI providers in the future (e.g. Google’s Gemini, Anthropic’s Claude) as we continuously evaluate which are suitable for use within Gomo.
Requirements
You should provide the details of your own OpenAI account from the Integrations tab in Gomo. We require that the account is not a trial account, i.e. you must add funds to the account. Free credits supplied by OpenAI are not suitable for use with Gomo.
Pricing
Currently, any costs are those by using OpenAI and should be funded from your OpenAI account. For pricing on generating content, please see the ‘GPT-4 Turbo’ section on this page: https://openai.com/pricing
Tokens
Tokens can be thought of as pieces of words. Costs are calculated through the use of tokens. When generating content with AI, the input (e.g. content used for generation or transformation) and output (resultant generation) are both counted towards your token usage.

Speeding up AI generation
We have discovered that adding enough funds to increase your usage tier will speed up the time taken to generate AI related content. From our testing, attaining ‘Usage tier 2’ provides a ~10x speedup and is recommended.
