Revised Sharelink
To further improve preview speed our revised sharelink feature has been released. All current sharelinks will be deactivated. You must create new links for courses that you wish to share with stakeholders. -
Video closed captions selection persistence
Once a video in a course has captions enabled and a language selected by the user - all subsequent videos will automatically enable the same selection, as soon as the video is played.

Multiple videos on android
We have addressed an issue where running multiple videos on android devices within continuous scroll screens and subscreens could prevent further videos from playing. -
Carousel asset
The Carousel asset has been updated to provide Right to Left language functionality. -
Opening a Popover from a Popover breaks the project
We have addressed an issue where a Popover with a button linking to another Popover would cause an error. -
Countdown timer action triggered even after you leave the screen
We have implemented a fix to resolve an issue with the Countdown timer. In certain cases it would remain active when leaving the screen. - Video enhancements
Video player options
You can choose to hide or show each individual elements on the video player, so you can stop a user from skipping through a video, for example.
Actions on video player
The Video Player asset can now have actions attached so that, for example, you can move on to the next screen automatically when a video finishes playing. This is great for building branching video scenarios.
Full screen option for video (desktop only)
We have added a new feature to the project settings panel to allow content editors to choose whether the full screen option for video content restricts the full screen presentation to the size of the browser it is viewed in, or the size of the monitor / screen the content is being displayed.
iFrame Aspect Ratio support enhancement
We have enhanced the iFrame asset to support aspect ratios to improve the presentation of external videos (e.g. YouTube).

Upgrade to credit card payment process
In conformance with the new PSD2 requirements that go into effect on September 14th, we have upgraded our payment collection and processing system so it is ready for the new regulations. -
'OR' options for display conditions
When using multiple display conditions to control the visibility of an asset on screen, you can now choose between those conditions being based on 'AND' (i.e. all conditions must be met) or 'OR' (i.e. one of the conditions must be met. -
Caching optimisation
We have improved caching controls in the editor to ensure enhancements are loaded without the requirement for a forced refresh when we release updates to the editor. -
Continuous scroll background images
We have addressed an issue relating to background images on screen 1 and screen 2 of a continuous scroll topic are not saved correctly resulting in the background image from screen 1 being applied to screen 1 and screen 2. -
Display conditions on primary navigation buttons
We have addressed an issue with display conditions on primary navigation buttons (next and previous) which caused an error in preview in some scenarios. -
Number input asset
We have addressed an issue with the number input asset whereby the default initial text would not disappear as expected when a learner clicks on the field if the initial text contained a £ (GB Pound) symbol. -
Video transcript in 'phone' preview mode
We have addressed an issue with the gomo preview feature where by Video transcripts did not function correctly. -
Duo theme - correct / incorrect icons in a right-to-left language course
We have implemented an updated to the DUO theme to improve the positioning of the correct and incorrect icons when viewed in a right-to-left language course. -
LikeRT label positioning when switching orientation on a smartphone
We have addressed an issue with the LikeRT asset where by the slider labels did not adjust correctly when a learner changes orientation of their smartphone. -
Registration completion / Password reset token wording
We have improved the instruction wording on the password creation screen shown to users if their reset token has expired.

Bookmark popup accessibility enhancements
We have implemented enhancements to the bookmark popup that appears when a course is relaunched to improve the way the action buttons (OK or Cancel) are read out when a screen reader is used. -
Screen background images on tablets
We have addressed an issue with screen background images where they were not appearing correctly in some scenarios when viewed on a tablet. -
Questions option select accessibility enhancements
We have implemented a general accessibility enhancement to support keyboard up and down controls to switch between the options available in question asset. -
Set image state action
We have addressed an issue with the 'set image state' action where by changes to the description (alt text) were not handled correctly and therefore did not appear when a learner triggers the image change. -
SCORM tracking enhancement (2)
We have implemented an optimisation to general SCORM commits to trigger commits after a page navigation event occurs. Previously these were triggered at set interval. -
SCORM tracking enhancement
We have implemented an optimisation for SCORM tracking to move the LMSFinish event to onbeforeunload from onunload to improve handling of exit events being received by the LMS when a users closes the browser tab or window the course has been launched in. -
Drag and drop enhancement
We have implemented a number of enhancements to the Drag and Drop asset to improve handling for multiple Drag and Drop assets on a single screen. -
Double quotation encoding
We have enhanced the text asset component to ensure Left and Right quotation marks are encoded correctly and retained on save. -
Parallax screen feature update
We have updated the support information in the editor to improve readability. -
Account lock out after 5 attempts
We have implemented a 5 minute account lock when a user attempts to login to an account unsuccessfully 5 times in a row. -
Architecture and security updates
We have implemented a number of architecture and security updates to our core platform. -
Drag and Drop mouse pointer after reset
We have addressed an issue whereby the mouse pointer shown when a learner interacts with the drag and drop asset did not display correctly after the asset is reset and the learner has a second attempt. -
Project transfer update
We have addressed an issue with the project transfer feature where by some projects were failing to transfer to another account correctly.

Hotspot asset update
We have addressed an issue with the Hotspot asset whereby the hotspot configuration option was disabled in the editor when the asset is first added to a screen -
Microsoft Edge full screen video
We have addressed an issue with the full screen video option did not launch the video in full screen when viewed using the Microsoft Edge browser. -
En dash converted to hyphen in Editor and Preview
We have addressed an issue with the the text editor to prevent En dash characters being encoded to a hypen when the content is saved. -
Default feedback for Multiple Choice Questions
We have addressed an issue with the Multiple Choice Question asset where by the feedback would cause the course to reload when the default feedback content was not modified. -
Bookmarking notification
We have addressed an issue whereby the letter 'r' was being stripped out of some screen titles when it appeared in the last location details shown on the bookmarking popup when a course is relaunched. -
User details capture for direct link courses
Enhancement to the gomo player to enable support for basic user details capture when launching a course to associate access with a user rather than usage being tracked anonymously. -
Data storage optimisation
Enhancement to the core gomo architecture to move key project data from disk storage into a database to improve load speeds when opening a project in gomo authoring.

Enhanced xAPI tracking - gomo authoring is now a certified Watershed data source
We have implemented a number of enhancements to our xAPI tracking capabilities to improve the depth and detail sent when users interact with gomo authored courses. These enhancements have been undertaken with the support and insights from our sister company Watershed, resulting in gomo authoring now being a certified Watershed data source. -
Full screen option for video (desktop only)
We have added a new feature to the project settings panel to allow content editors to choose whether the full screen option for video content restricts the full screen presentation to the size of the browser it is viewed in or the size of the monitor / screen the content is being viewed on. -
Parallax screen properties (for continuous scroll topics)
We have added in a new Parallax feature for continuous scrolling topics that allow you to create animation offset effects for background images when viewed in a topic that uses continuous scrolling. Please see our Parallax support article for further information. -
Tempo theme update
We have made a number of updates to the tempo theme to enhance the customisation options via theme settings. This includes support for control over Header/footer navigation icons colours, colour setting support for the horizontal bar shown in the header navigation and some general enhancements to padding on smartphone devices. -
Theme update clean up
We have enhanced our theme upload process to ensure any files from the previous version of the theme are removed when an updated theme is uploaded. -
Recurly API upgrade
For customers using our credit card based billing system, we have upgraded our subscription features to use the latest API from Recurly, our billing management system. -
Topic duplication issue for inline links
We have addressed an issue with the topic duplication where by a duplicated topic would fail to open in the editor when the topic contained text content that had embedded links to an external URL or another screen within the project. -
Accordion on subscreens on mobile devices
We have addressed an issue where by an accordion asset on a subscreen would not display if the learner viewed the subscreen correctly and then switches orientation and then launches the subscreen again. -
Crop image option in editor
We have addressed an issue whereby the image crop controls would not save cropped images correctly in some scenarios.

New asset - Image Marker
We are pleased to announce the release of our new 'Image Marker' asset. The new asset enables you to create marker overlays on top of an image and use our existing actions library to trigger events when a user clicks on a marker (e.g. view sub-screen, set variable, view another screen etc). In addition to this we have also added in a new 'gomo labs' feature into the theme editor that allows you to experiment with controlling the individual styles of the marker. There are 5 markers available for editing and use within your project. -
Image marker - sample content
As with all existing assets, we have also added in default sample content for the new image marker asset. -
LikeRT asset enhancement
We have updated the LikeRT asset to support RTL languages. -
Pricing update and subscription options
To coincide with our updated pricing on our gomo website, our annual 'self-service' subscription plans have now been updated as well. -
Chrome 74 - animations issue
Following the release of Google Chrome v74, we identified this version of Chrome caused an issue with the animation library used for screen transitions. The issue was resolved through the release of an upgrade to the animation library. This was deployed to gomo authoring. When opening a course in gomo authoring, the project will auto-rebuild to ensure the update is included. If you're course is published to an external LMS you will need to republish the course. If your course is published via gomo hosting, we have updated it already. -
Project transfer - custom theme settings
We have addressed an issue with the project transfer process where some theme settings were not copied over and re-applied to the transferred project if the settings were made at the project level. -
Hotspot Image - sample content
We have updated the sample content used for the hotspot image asset as the third hot spot in the example was missing an action. -
Double clicking bypasses display conditions
We have addressed an issue with navigation actions on buttons which resulted in screens being skipped or display conditions being ignored.

Scorm 1.2 Score setting
We have updated the core score tracking logic in gomo. Previously if an assessment was set to track score in an LMS but not set course completion, the score would be tracked as 'Unknown'. This has now been updated to send the actual score result, even if it is not used to trigger course completion. -
Double tap on videos when using display conditions and multiple languages
We have addressed an issue where by the use of display conditions to show a video when used in a multilingual course results in the user having to double tap the video to play on touch screen devices. -
Drag and Drop enhancement
We have enhanced the drag and drop asset to provide better scrolling support when the number of available drop zones exceeds the height of the browser the content is being viewed in. -
xAPI tracking enhancement
We have now added in a 'scored' statement which is triggered when a user completes a quiz or assessment. The scored statement sends the assessment/quiz score value, e.g. 75%. -
Project transfer update
We have updated the project transfer functionality to address an issue where the default language for multilingual courses was not getting set correctly in some scenarios. -
gomo hosting > Question answer report
We have added in the option to export the question answered report in gomo hosting. -
Accordion asset in sub-screens in a duplicated course
We have addressed an issue with the accordion asset which did not display display correctly when used in a sub-screen of a course that has been transferred from one account to another.

We have addressed an issue with the video asset where by it would not display correctly when a learner returns to a previously visited page when viewing a course in accessibility mode. -
Glossary extra on iPhone SE
We have addressed an issue with the glossary extra which failed to function correctly when viewed on an iPhone SE after the learner had rotated from portait to landscape mode. -
Topic importer project list
We have addressed an issue where some projects were not being listed in the topic importer wizard. -
Comic Strip height
We have addressed an issue with the Comic Strip asset whereby the text content overflow did not calculate correctly in some scenarios, thus causing the content reveal to display correctly. -
Right click actions for projects
We have addressed an issue with the right click menu for projects where by the right click options were no longer available after a user had selected the right click > delete project function. -
Special characters used in navigation extras
We have addressed an issue where by special characters used in navigation extra titles would cause an issue when trying to access the 'navigation and tracking' options in the topic editor for a selected screen. -
Video on intro topic
We have addressed an issue with the screenshot service used to capture topic thumbnails where by it would fail to create a thumbnail for an introductory topic if the first screen in the introductory topic contained a video. -
Editor access in China
We have made a number of modifications to the core libraries used in the gomo editor. These have now been updated to use local applications versions rather than versions loaded via a CDN.

Google Analytics tracking support
We have added in a new Google Analytics tracking feature to gomo authoring. When publishing a course, content creators will now have the ability to enable Google Tracking for their course. To use this feature, a Google Analytics tracking ID will be required (e.g UA-XXXXXXXX-X) to track usage to.

LikeRT scale asset
We have added a new LikeRT asset to gomo authoring. The new asset will allow you to create a LikeRT scale interactions for inclusion in your courses. When using the asset you can configure your scale (e.g. Strongly agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly disagree) and the questions you want learners to respond to. -
Questions answered report
To coincide with the release of the LikeRT asset and general enhancements to tracking question responses via xAPI, we have added in a new 'Questions Answered' report to gomo hosting. -
Shared resources and pre-populated assets
If you are new to gomo, we have now implemented a shared resource and pre-populated assets feature that will allow you to explore how the content for each type of content interaction works in the content editor and how it looks when previewing your course. Pre-populated sample content can be enabled or disabled at any time via a new 'Preferences' panel available by clicking on your name in the top-right corner of gomo authoring when you are logged in. -
Text and number input assets enhancement
We have added translation support for the error messages presented to a learner when they enter invalid characters into the text input and number input assets. -
Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) options
We have addressed an issue with the MCQ asset where by adding a new item to the list incorrectly set the new item as the correct value. -
Continuous scroll + Image wall issue
We have addressed an issue where by an Image Wall would fail to display correctly in some scenarios when used in a continuous scroll topic . -
Image wall completion
We have addressed an issues where by an Image Wall asset would not set a completed status correctly when all items had been viewed. -
Project duplication
We have updated the project duplication process so that a duplicated project will now appear in the director from where it was duplicated rather than defaulting to the root directory. -
Comic Strip text overrun
We have updated the comic strip asset to improve the positioning and presentation of text content when the content exceeds the available viewing area. -
Project transfers with theme customisation
We have addressed an issue with the project transfer process which failed to apply theme customisation's made a project level to the transferred project. -
Project publish wizard
We have updated the project publish wizard to reset the tracking options if the user returns back to the previous option screen . -
WebM background videos
We have addressed an issue where WebM video types were not playing correctly when used as a background video for a screen. -
Safari button hover state
We have addressed an issue with the Safari web browser where by hover state button colours were not being shown correctly when a user hovers over a button. -
Simultaneous publish requests
We updated the project publish process to prevent accidental simultaneous publish requests for the same project. -
Project transfers with project specific background images
We have addressed an issue with the project transfer process which failed to copy custom background images over that had been applied to the source project. -
Drag and Drop correct / incorrect indicators
We have addressed an issue with the drag and drop asset where by the correct / incorrect indicators were sometimes displaying incorrectly based on the order the items were dropped into the selected drop zones by the learner.

Connectivity checker
We have added a new connectivity checker option via the gomo authoring publish wizard. When enabled at publish, this will activate a connectivity checker in a published course which will alert users when connection to the LMS the course is delivered from is lost. The checker will also routinely check general internet connectivity to ensure it can still communicate with the location/LMS where the content is launched from. -
Learning Objectives support (foundation work)
Through a joint development initiative with our sister company LEO Learning, we have implemented the foundations for Learning Objective support into gomo authoring. This update includes the release of support for Learning Objectives in the gomo player output. Work will commence shortly on updating our gomo question assets to support association with Learning Objectives. -
Hyperlinks accessibility update
We have enhanced how hyperlinks are rendered for screen readers to ensure they can be tabbed through correctly. -
Duo theme update
We have added background scaling support to the Duo theme. -
Data clean up enhancement when a language is removed from a course
We have implemented a clean up routine to remove redundant language content / data from a course when the language is removed by a content creator. -
CMI.CORE.EXIT change for SCORM 1.2
We have updated the cmi.core.exit statement from 'logout' to an empty string for Scorm 1.2 as some LMS's auto-triggered logout of the LMS when the original statement was received. -
Default language for courses
We have updated the default language for new courses to 'English' from 'British English'. -
Core folder path rename
We have renamed a core folder path (/app/head.js/ to /app/headjs/) in the gomo player which caused loading issues on some LMS platforms -
Variables listing error in portal
We have addressed an issue in the gomo authoring portal whereby accessing shared variables after visiting the shared content tab would cause an error in some scenarios preventing the list of variables from loading. -
User registration form labels not displaying
We have addressed an issue with the publish wizard whereby using the 'user registration' option when publishing to gomo hosting would occasionally result in the field labels shown on the form to display incorrectly. -
Theme settings typo correction
We have corrected a type in the theme settings where 'Topic Assessments' was spelt incorrectly. -
Odyssey Light theme - zoomable image placement
We have updated the generic Odyssey Light theme to improve the positioning of the zoomable image overlay. -
Odyssey Light theme- drag and drop enhancement
We have updated the generic Odyssey Light theme to improve the presentation of drag and drop items when used with the theme -
Glossary translation loading
We have addressed an issue where loading the glossary extra in a multilingual course would trigger a load error resulting in some glossary items not showing in the selected language. -
Text input asset - translation switching
We have addressed an issue with the text input asset where by switching languages when viewing a screen that includes a text input asset would sometimes result in the translated text being shown as ASCII text code rather than the correct language characters. -
Full screen video in a continuous scroll topic in IE11
We have addressed an issue with full screen video whereby the video would display incorrectly in a continuous scroll topic when viewed in Internet Explorer 11. -
Content banks in a duplicated course
We have addressed an issue where content banks would fail to display correctly in a course that has been duplicated. -
Duplicating a duplicated theme loses theme settings in the theme editor
We have addressed an issue whereby duplicating a theme that has already been duplicated results in the loss of key theme setting being removed when the theme is edited -
Project folder creation issue
We have addressed an issue whereby content creators were unable to successfully create a new project folder when the folder list was ordered by last updated
