• Scale to fit option for theme background image
  We have added in a new 'scale to fit' option in the theme settings to provide content authors with the ability to set background images to scale when viewed on different screen sizes and devices.  All core gomo themes have been updated to support this.
• Editor save optimisation
  We have enhanced the editor save process to ensure all content updates are saved correctly when using the default save option as well as the save option triggered when a content author previews when changes have not yet been saved.
• Project list loading speed optimisation
  We have enhanced the project loading list to improve the speed of loading when.
• Language options in preview
  Following the addition of the language options in preview in release 3.5.19, we have increased the load time allowance to accommodate slower connections.
• Scrolling after full screen playback on smartphone and tablets
  We have addressed an issue where scrolling a screen on smartphone or tablet would behave erratically after a full screen video had been viewed on some devices.
• Video transcript HTML formatting 
  We have updated the video player asset to ensure HTML formatting characters are handled correctly when added to a video transcript.
• IE11 jQuery update 
  We have updated the jQuery version as a result of inconsistent loading issues in Internet Explorer 11.
• Subscreen scrolling
  We have addressed an issue where a subscreen failed to load correctly if it was launched from another subscreen.
• Duplicate project listings
  We have addressed an issue where by navigating into a project and back into a folder would cause the project to appear twice in the project listings even though only one project exists.

• Addition of new preview modes
  We have added in a variety of new preview modes to enable content authors to preview content based on popular devices and their associated resolutions. We have also added in a language switcher to quickly toggle between the languages in a course when previewing.
• Addition 'next' and 'back' link to screen actions
  We have extended the link to screen functionality to allow content creators to specify 'next' and 'back' navigation options for buttons or links added to a screen.
• Authoring folder breadcrumb update
  We have addressed an issue where the folder titles were not displaying correctly in the authoring portal when a user navigated to a sub-folder.  
• Default height update for instruction text
  We have updated the default CSS styling for instruction text to ensure the underlying content block is set to the height of the text being shown.  Previously this was set to the height of the 'initial' instruction text and did not adjust when intermediate or final instruction states were triggered.
• Material Design theme update
  We have updated the material design theme to address an issue where left and right subscreen reveals did not display correctly when viewed on a tablet device.
• Smartphone subscreen update
  We have addressed an issue where subscreens would show behind the navigation bar on some smartphone devices.
• Theme duplication and custom font settings
  We have addressed an issue where by duplicating a theme did not retain custom font settings.
• Menu extra custom settings
  We have addressed an issue where changes to the menu target path were not being saved correctly.

• Addition of target path support for external link actions
  We have added in target path support for external links.  When the 'external link' action is added (e.g. to a button or text link), content creators can now specify the desired HTML target path destination (e.g. _blank, _self, _parent, _top) to determine how the link should behave when gomo content is embedded in an iFrame.  
• iOS video handling limitations
  Playback of video content within a single HTML application is limited by the operating system to 17 videos.  If an attempt to load an 18th video is made, the video will fail to load.  We have implemented a number of enhancements to our video player asset to overcome this.
• Video player multi-language closed caption support
  We have enhanced the video player asset to support multiple closed caption files (VTT) when used in a multi-lingual course.  Content creators will now have the option to upload a vtt for each language configured in the course.
• Hotspot hover over translation XLIFF export / import
  We have enhanced the hotspot asset to support XLIFF export / import of alt text content (shown when a learner hovers on a hotspot) so that alt text content can be translated when used in a mult-lingual course.
• Last activity time / inactivity monitor
  To assist future development of custom assets / functionality in the gomo player, we have now added in a new variable to retrieve the last activity time of a user.
• Continuous scroll topic load enhancement
  We have implemented an update to that way in which continuous scroll topics are launched to ensure that all assets shown in the screen sequence are initiated correctly.
• Select from List triggered by display condition on smartphones
  We have addressed an issue where a select from list question asset was unresponsive on a smartphone if the visibility of the question had been triggered by a display condition.
• localization xliff file update
  We have addressed an issue relating to the localization xliff file was incorrectly setting the source and target path languages to the same value.
• Multi-language course duplication
  We have addressed an issue whereby in some scenarios when a multi-language course is duplicated, updates in the duplicated course to the default / base language were not always saved correctly.
• Video transcript button
  We have addressed an issue whereby the video transcript button would not always display the transcript content when accessed via some smartphone devices.

• Last location loader enhancement
  We have now implemented an update for downloaded courses to suppress the last location update notification if it is not required.
• Progress indicators in footer bar navigation in multilingual course
  We have updated the progress indicator to address an issue where by the progress indicator was not visible on first visit to a topic when the course is accessed in an alternate language.
• Subscreen close action update
  In relation to the subscreen close action (released in version 3.5.13) we have addressed an issue where by learners were unable to relaunch a subscreen if it was closed using the new action.

• Smartphone deep linking support for continuous scroll topics
  Further to the addition of deep linking to specific screens in a continuous scrolling topic in version 3.5.10, we have now extended this support for smartphone devices to ensure that the topic does not default to the first screen when sub-screens are used.
• SVG IE8 fallback update
  We have addressed an issue with SVG support to ensure that the fallback methods are called correctly when content is launched in Internet Explore 8.
• Question bank question completion
  We have updated the question bank completion logic to address an issue whereby the correctness state of a question was set incorrectly if the question screen included supplementary screen interactions prior to the question (e.g. a button linking to a sub-screen).

• NetDimension PENS integration
  The gomo team are pleased to announce that we have now added PENS integration with the NetDimensions Talent Suite product. If you use the NetDimensions Talent Suite LMS (NTS), you can publish directly from gomo authoring to NTS. Further information is available on our blog.
• Sub-screen positioning enhancements
  To improve the control and positioning of sub-screens when used in a continuous scroll topic, we have made a number of enhancements to the sub-screen logic to allow greater positioning control within a custom theme.
• Carousel enhancement for continuous scrolling topics
  We have updated an issue whereby a carousel would display incorrectly in some scenarios if used in a continuous scroll topic.

Release notes for 18th September 2017 - version 3.5.13

• Continuous scroll asset loading enhancements
  Continuous scroll topics show content as a single sequence of scrollable pages. To improve the the way in which content is shown for each screen in the topic we have updated the way in which the content is pre-loaded and then shown when the screen you scroll to becomes active.  
• New Action - Close subscreen
  Whilst subscreens can be closed using the default close button for the subscreen, we have now added in a 'close subscreen' action.  This will allow you to trigger the closure of a subscreen with a button or text link.  This is useful when you are building content whereby a 'Continue' button or similar is useful within the screen / topic design.
• Search extra now supports projects with content banks
  We have now updated the search extra so it is compatible with projects that use questions banks.  It is worth noting that the search extra wont return results from a content bank as the content is randomly loaded.
• New caching method to improve update delivery
  When releasing new functionality for the gomo editor some customers have experienced issues where by their web browser was aggressively caching older versions of core files which then caused problems with the new functionality.  To address this we have updated our versioning system to overcome these caching issues.
• Audio files in a films strip on smartphones
  We have addressed an issue where by audio assets added to a filmstrip would fail to play on smartphone if the audio was not on the first filmstrip item.

• Cookie value encoding for NetDimensions
  In working with our sister company NetDimensions, we have implemented additional encoding for cookies used by gomo hosting to ensure content launches correctly on the NTS (NetDimensions Talent Suite).

  We have addressed an issues where by the SCORM session time was being incorrectly reported in some scenarios.

• Continuous scroll page linking enhancement
  We have enhanced the continuous scroll topic type to enable content creators to use the 'link to screen' action and jump to a specific screen in the topic. Previously all links to continuous scroll topic would default to the first screen of the topic.
• Theme updates for Material Design and Origin theme
  We have updated the Material Design and Origin themes to allow users to customise the auto topic and screen titles.  
• Hotspot image and popup / popover subscreens
  We have addressed an issue whereby if a hotspot image was added to a popup or popover subscreen, the secondary the hotspot image was duplicated and shown incorrectly for the clickable areas on the hotspot.
• Next / Previous button display conditions on IE8
  We have addressed an issue with the next/previous button display condition functionality whereby it did not function correctly in IE8.
• Drop Down on Graphic multi-lingual support update
  We have updated the Drop Down on Graphic multilingual support so that it is no longer dependent on an alternate image being supplied for each language.
• Thumbnail screen shots + image wall on screen 1
  We have addressed an issue with our thumbnail screen shot server whereby topics with an image wall on the first screen would cause an error when attempting to capture the screenshot.

• Multiple attempts question enhancement
  We have implemented an enhancement to our question assets to extend the number of attempt options. Content creators can now configure a question asset to support 1-5 attempts with an additional option to also support unlimited attempts.  
• Video asset completion on Android smartphone's
  We have implemented an update to the video asset to address an issue where by it wasn't triggering a completion state correctly once the user had finished watching the video on an android smartphone.  
• Video asset transcripts in a continuous scroll topic on smartphone
  We have addressed an issue with the video asset whereby the content of a video transcript did not display correctly when viewed on a smartphone on a continuous scrolling topic.
• Video asset in a subscreen display condition
  We have addressed an issue whereby if a display condition (e.g. variable) was used to show a video on a subscreen, in some circumstances, if the subscreen was launched a second time, the video would not display as expected.
• Hotspot image with spaces in final names
  We have addressed an issue where by a the active or viewed states of a hotspot image would fail to display correctly if the images used in a hotspot image asset contained spaces in the filenames.

Release notes for 25th July 2017 - version 3.5.8

• gomo hosted content switch to Signed URLs 
  We have updated the method used to secure access to content hosted in gomo from using signed cookies to signed URLs.  The benefit of this approach is primarily for devices running Safari web browsers (iOS and MacOS) as by default they blocked 3rd Party cookies. This required us to display a 'authenticate access' screen to enable Safari browsers to launch the content.  With the switch to signed URLs, this is no longer required and content should load directly on all supported devices and browsers.
• Zoomable image multi-language update
  We have updated the zoomable image asset relating to multi-language support as switching languages did not always trigger the change in image in some circumstances.
• Recent project access data in gomo hosting
  For gomo central user profiles we have addressed an issue where by the 'recent project access' data was not displaying the most recent data.

• Topic / course setting optimisations
  We have implemented a number of performance optimisations to the topic and course settings to improve the load and save time of these sections.
• Reveal subscreen update
  We have implemented a number of updates to the subscreen reveal type so that it correctly positions when used in conjunction with a continuous scroll topic.
• Location tracking update
  We have updated the HTML5 tracking functionality for gomo hosting following an update to Google's location functionality.
• Resource folder list in the topic editor
  We have enhanced the resource selector in the gomo editor to show the list of resource folders alphabetically and also only show folders containing matching resources when the resource search functionality is used.

• Animate assets on return visit
  We have added a new option for asset animations to enable you to choose if the selected animation (e.g. Fade in) should trigger on return visits to the screen.  By defaults animations will only take place on first visit to a screen for the current user session.  The new checkbox option will allow you to apply animations on return visits in the current session also.
• Search extra update
  We have updated the search extra so it functions correctly in a course which contains a question bank.  Please note, question bank content is excluded from the search.
• Duplicate instruction text alert
  We have added in better alert handling when duplicate instructions text types are added to the same screen (e.g. initial instruction).

• Share link account restriction

• Project folder assignment restrictions
  We have enhanced the project settings section to restrict the ability to move projects from one folder to another to administrators only.
• File replace enhancement
  We have implemented a number of enhancements to the file replace functionality in the gomo authoring portal to address an issue whereby the dimensions of a video file were not set if a video file was updated. We have also addressed a timeout issue in the user notification where a replace had completed but the user interface was not updated to reflect this.
• Action optimisation
  We have implemented optimisations to the actions and display conditions functionality when a large number of actions (e.g 60) are applied to a single asset (e.g. button).  When such a large number of actions are used, there were a number of functions carried out that were repeated for each action.  This was unnecessary and has been updated, providing a notable speed enhancement in processing a large number of actions attached to a single asset.  
• Project transfer containing content banks
  We have addressed an issue in the content transfer functionality (to transfer a project from one account to another) which contains content banks to ensure the content bank configuration is updated correctly with the new topic IDs generated for the transferred instance of the project.

• Failed saves in the content editor 
  We have implemented an update to the topic editor to address an issue whereby a save would fail in some circumstances when a content row is deleted and an asset in that content row was not removed correctly.
• Topic completion status in gomo central
  We have updated the loading sequence for the progress indicators shown in gomo central.  In some instances the completion status was being shown incorrectly due to the loading order of xAPI data even though a course had been completed by the user.
• 25 + projects in a folder
  We have addressed an issue in the gomo authoring portal where by the project listing would only show up to 25 projects in a folder.
• Project duplication with edit restrictions
  We have updated the project duplication process to retain edit restrictions on topics when edit restrictions have been set on the original.

• Enhancements to user role permissions
  We have implemented a number of enhancements and updates to the user role permissions in gomo authoring to provide greater role separation between an administrator and editor.
• Topic editing restrictions
  We have now implemented topic level editing restrictions allowing administrators to provide further editing restrictions for editors at topic level in addition to project level.
• Publish workflow restriction
  As an enhancement to the publish process to ensure that all content has been approved for publishing, we have now implemented publishing restrictions so that a project can only be published once all content topics have been flagged as completed.
• New Theme - Elements
  We have added a new theme to the default theme library called Elements.
• Content rows appearing out of sequence
  We have addressed an issue where in some circumstances, if a new content row was added to a screen it would display in an incorrect position.

  We are delighted to announce we have now added in folder support into gomo authoring.  The new feature will allow you to create project folders within gomo authoring and assign existing and new projects to them.  A support article outlining how to create, manage and assign projects to folders will follow shortly.
• xAPI URL parameter support enhancement
  We have now added in support for OpenID authentication to the xAPI querystring parameters introduced in version 3.4.2.
• SVG check for content distributed on the Intuition platform
  Following the introduction of SVG icon support, we have introduced a check mechanism to disable it when content is distributed on the Intution platform as the current Intution app does not support SVGs.
• Hosting dashboard optimisations
  We have made further enhancements to the gomo hosting learner dashboards to improve the speed in which they load and eliminate time outs.
